I think I paid $275 or so 8 to 10 years ago-and I knew that was a good deal at the time. But, like many guns that are no longer available, the price has escalated. It's a very cool gun that generally costs anywhere from $600 to $800, especially the longer barrels, which I think is way too much. They fixed it for me, but I've not had it out to the range again. It turns out that the firing pin was bent, which was causing the malfunction. 50 AE Single action Semi automatic, Stainless Steel, Factory Magna-Ported 6 1/2. It scared me, so I prompted put it away until I had a chance to take it to a gunsmith. During my first time shooting, it would sometimes fire off two rounds. I bought it used at Cabellas a number of years ago. I have an original AMT Automag II and I love it. I didn't remember that High Standard was now making it, but it seems like I heard about that at some point. I think sellers may be trying to take advantage of the premium price commanded for the original AMT Automag II, or even the version made by Galena (is that right? I would have to check). Surely, they can't command a price tag like that new.or even used? Even at an "unfindable" $375-$425, anyone know what's up with the "no longer made" pricing going on of an available product?
